Praise the Lord! Last night our son accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. He has been asking questions for several weeks now, and asked to pray "the prayer." We wrote his name and the date in our family Bible. How precious to think that his name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life!
And then, he spent the next 12 hours puking his guts out and rolling in it. Yes, it's true. I heard a noise during the night and ran to his room to discover him writhing on the barf-covered floor, wailing and clutching his stomach. Guess how much sleep I got last night?
At least I get two days off work for this, since by state law he is not supposed to return to school within 24 hours of having a fever or "emesis."

Christmas on $0
That's right. Christmas on zero dollars. This is my new challenge. So far I have gifts that have cost me nothing for my kids, my parents, my brother, and my spouse. For example, this weekend I got two free items worth $11 apiece at Bath & Body Works (they had a coupon on the Internet). Start now, right? I'm hoping to accumulate enough free items by December to make Christmas less stressful, so we can focus on the true meaning (that would be the birth of our Savior). I'm getting these wonderful items free by signing up on the web. If you see a great freebie, let me know!
